I’ve always been interested in the intersection of the digital and the real world. Needless to say, I think the idea of being able to design things in software and then have them produced as tangible objects is incredibly cool.

Whilst I have yet to dabble in any use of 3D Printers, I have started to follow a couple of websites about this emerging technology:

• Thingiverse - a place to share digital designs that can be made into real, physical objects

• Ultimaker blog
